Early Years

Toddlers

The early years of a child’s life are very important. During the infant and toddler years, children grow quickly and have so much to learn. Some children and families face special challenges and need extra help. Early help does make a difference!

We naturally think of a child’s growth as height and weight, but from birth to 5 years, your child should reach milestones in how he plays, learns, speaks and acts. A delay in any of these areas could be a sign of a developmental problem. The good news is, the earlier it’s recognised the more you can do to help your child reach her full potential.

Our program provides an opportunity for children to grow physically, mentally, socially and emotionally in a consistent and supportive environment. Our goal is to provide educational and developmental services to children through love, respect and understanding. We also provide an environment in which children can challenge, explore, make mistakes and experience success.

We currently offer two Toddler Courses at Semarang Multinational School.  Classes are Monday through Friday.  Independent Tots runs from 8-10.00 and the Transition Class runs from 8.00-11.00.

Preschool and Kindergarten

Our Preschool and Kindergarten programs cater for children from 3 to 5 years of age. Our curricula are carefully planned to meet the needs of these children.

Semarang Multinational School places great value on the importance of the early years of education. The most important learning years of a child’s life are between birth and five years. During this time children are constantly learning and it is vital to provide an environment that stimulates their physical, social, intellectual and emotional development as well as their creativity and imagination.

An important aim is to establish an environment where children develop a positive self-image and attitude towards school and a sense of responsibility for self and others through cooperation with teachers and classmates. Carefully structured play is an invaluable way to stimulate all areas of development for young children. Play, together with ongoing instruction, is used as a vehicle for learning in our Early Years programs. Children are provided with a wide variety of stimulating activities to develop early concepts and skills of literacy, numeracy, music and movement, science, art and craft and technology.
